Nail Polish Swatch: Bobbie Glazers

I was cleaning and arranging my manicure set when I realized I haven't posted any nail polish swatch in my blog. I immediately choose what brand and color to go first, only to realize that it would be so many pictures  and posts if I swatch them one by one. So I decided to have them by brand. And I choose Bobbie Glaze as the first swatch simply because this brand is the most accessible to me in case of availability. I can go to any drugstore and grab a new shade anytime. Plus, for a local brand, it's toxin free. I have, 9 different shades of Bobbie nail polish but choose to swatch my favorite five and they are:

From left to right: Piña Colada, Sparklers, Garland, Candy Cane and Blue Sleigh.

Nail Art: My Valentine

Need I say more?... Today is Valentines Day, so I decided to spread the love through my nail art.
My friend's obsession was for her bf to come home from Libya. She ask me to design her nails to show him, well its obvious, her love.

This is her left fingers, with again, different design on each nails.. I love the rose most!

My gift to the mother of my friend who is celebrating her birthday today. Looks like a lace! How I wish I could do that on my nails.

My own valentine mani. Simple red and silver french tip with simple art on the side.  The little thumb was  my daughter's.

So, how did you find it?
Do you have plans for tonight? Happy Valentines day!

Nail Art: Stargazer

I made this for a friend. I didn't know it was a stargazer-like mani until a news program talked about valentine flowers and mentioned about stargazers. I was lucky enough that she was able to take a photo of her nails and post it in her facebook account. I grab it and share it with you here in my blog. :) Hope you like it.

Nail Art: Silver Party with Martini

I made this nail art because I attended the 25th birthday of a friend. Her motif was silver and it will be flooded with drinks and food. I used a silver polish and LA Colors Rainbow glitter as a base. I draw a matini glass as if it was spilling and wrote "Party 'til Dawn" on my thumb using an art pen. Oh by the way, I don't know if the bottle was a martini, champagne or a love potion..*grin*

You could also use this in your bar hopping nights. I hope you like it. Drop a comment, let me know what you think of my design. Thanks.!

My First Glimpse on the New Peso Bills

I went to BDO yesterday to deposit. When it was my turn, the teller ask me if I want to change my old bills to the new one. I immediately said said yes, but to my dismay they only have 50 peso bill left. Their head office only gave them 2 bundles of 20's and 1 bundle of 50's. So I gave my one hundred peso bill in exchange of two brand new, "bank-scent" and crisp 50 peso bill. ;) After my transaction at the bank, I hurriedly go back to our store to show off my new bills. They became an instant celebrity! lol..

So here is what I've observe:
1. Design highlights: President Sergio Osmeña, the first national assembly in 1907, the Leyte Landing, the seal of the President and the new BSP seal. At the back is the Taal Lake, the deepest freshwater lake found n the country, as well as the animal Maliputo are showed on the reverse side. On the right is a design highlight from an embroidery handcrafted in Batangas.

2. It has more security features against counterfeiting. The serials are ascending in fonts.

3. Color wise, it's more vibrant. It looks like the paper bills in Singapore. I even thought it was a foreign currency at first sight.

4. It's a millimeter(I think) bigger than the old bill.

5.  President Sergio Osmeña's image is much much younger. He looks good. :)

All in all, I like this more than the old one.. I didn't use it yet. Keeping it inside my wallet until it's widely use and released. I wish i could have the 500 peso bill too with Ninoy and Cory's images on the front..hehe

Finally! My very own Blog Template Layout

Since I entered the world of blogging, I have switched my page layout for how many times. I choose from the template designer tab but I am not satisfied with it. So I browsed the web for any tutorials on how to personalize a blogger layout. So after two hours of editing and designing for a template that would suit my blog I finally finished it!.. It's chic. It's pink. It's me! Cheers!!

What do you think of my design?
